¡Estamos muy felices de anunciar que mostraremos el trabajo de Cine Janal y Maaya Chaak durante el evento!

Cine Janal es una serie de recetas de comida yucateca creada, escrita y dirigida por el director yucateco Miguel Ventura. ¡Ellos crearon un hermoso cortometraje llamado El Pib que gentilmente nos dieron permiso para usar durante nuestro programa! Lo mostraremos en diferentes momentos y tendremos un horario disponible para que sepa cuándo puede verlo. Esta película es extra especial porque fue filmada en Yucatán en el idioma maaya. Mostraremos los subtítulos en español y luego en inglés para que nadie se quede sin disfrutarlo.

Maaya Chaak es un artista yucateco que pinta hermosos cuadros del Día de Muertos y puedes ver muchos sitios familiares de Mérida, Yucatán en su trabajo. Desde el cementerio hasta la icónica iglesia y las sillas, cualquiera a quien le gusten las obras de arte del Día de Muertos disfrutará de su trabajo y, si ha estado en Mérida, le dará un impulso extra de nostalgia. Usaremos su arte como elementos visuales para la música relajante que nos dedicamos a brindarles a diario. ¡Podrá ver esta colaboración durante el evento y como un video independiente para disfrutar en nuestro sitio durante todo el año!

Los Ermitaños pasaron 8 años en Mérida, Yucatán y la consideran nuestra ciudad adoptiva. Amamos a todo México y más allá, pero Yucatán es una parte muy mágica y especial de México que siempre tiene un gran pedazo de nuestros corazones, por lo que es muy significativo para nosotros incluirlos en este programa. ¡Estamos seguros de que verá por qué una vez que pueda ver un poco de magia de Yucatán en sus pantallas durante el evento!

We are very happy to announce that we will be showing the work of Cine Janal and Maaya Chaak during the event!

Cine Janal is a series of Yucatecan food recipes created, written and directed by Yucatecan director Miguel Ventura. The created a beautiful short film called El Pib they have graciously granted us permission to use during our program! We will be showing it at different times throughout and have a schedule available so you will know when you can see it. This film is extra special because it was shot in Yucatan in the Maaya language. We will show the Spanish subtitles and then the English so no one misses out on enjoying it.

Maaya Chaak is a Yucatecan artist who paints beautiful Day of the Dead paintings and you can see many familiar sites of Merida, Yucatan in his work. From the cemetary to the iconic church and chairs anyone who likes Day of the Dead artwork will enjoy his work and if you have been to Merida it will give you an extra boost of nostaglia. We will be using his art as the visuals to the relaxing music we are dedicated to bringing you daily. You will be able to see this collaboration during the event and as a stand alone video to enjoy on our site all year long!

The Hermits spent 8 years in Merida, Yucatan and consider it our adopted hometown. We love all of Mexico and beyond but Yucatan is a very magical and special part of Mexico that always hold a huge piece of our hearts so it is very meaningful to us to include them in this program. We feel confident you will see why once you get to see a little magic of Yucatan on your screens during the event!
